When you look back on it there are not many songs about your dads
because they have been put out of the picture so much.
There is stuff from the 18th and 17th century
etc when men had some stature
but as they have been devalued and humiliated through
comedies etc, there is nothing been churned out about them...
Lots of dads feel like they would like to have done more for their offspring
and they are on the defensive in case it is ever brought up but really
under the circumstances most of them do the best they can.
Who are we to judge?
As the Indians say “don't judge a man till you have walked a couple of
miles in his moccasins”...
